Floating Ladder
There’s a floating ladder standing here on Earth
I don’t know where it goes but it holds a song
I jump on the first rung, amazing as birth
The ladder jerks, moves up, and takes me along
The ladder now flies to the heavens, so high
Not knowing where it is taking me, nor why
I reach the highest point, a faraway star
This is where Jesus lays, beauty from afar
