Flawless Versus Flaws

FLAWS Seems to me this nation would have less flaws If we could purge millions of inane laws Made by congresspersons Alas, it only worsens 'Tis enough to tighten this feller's jaws FLAWLESS Though Wyatt Earp's modus operandi was far from flawless He knew how to administer justice to the lawless He faced some rowdy cowboys in a godforsaken locale Leavin' 'em sprawlin' in the dust at the OK Corral Robert L. Congratulations on your big win, Robert! Yes, flaws are easy to spot and hard to correct. Without flaws there's no reason for one to complain, so society is full of flaws...but once in a while there comes a flawless individual such as Wyatt Earp who sets things straight! Thanks for sharing your poetry and God bless. LPeace and Love, Andrew.

Oh, well done. And well said. This should be made into a plaque mounted above the door above every congressional building. Congratulations on your first place win in the contest with this passionate plea for justice. Love, Deb

I've given up on those people on the Hill, Bob. But my Papa truly enjoyed movies and paperbacks about Wyatt Earp. You would of thought he was from the old west! When I watch classics on TCM I still enjoy westerns which remind me of him. Best of luck in the contest with these real gems! As always, enjoyable! Always, Annalise

I grit my teeth as I think of the laws imposed on us by congressmen who expempt themselves from their provisions. Wyatt Earp is one of my heroes! Did you see "Tombstone," Bob? Kurt Russell did a good job portraying Earp but Val Kilmer was even more impressive as Doc Holliday. Best wishes for success in the contest! Love, Carolyn
