Can Staring Into Someone's Eyes Make You Fall In Love?

As I awoke, eyes still laden, dreaming of a pretty maiden. Laying quietly, still in my bed. It was real not just in my head. As the light streaked through the window, heart beating like a crescendo. I felt the joy of love at last, in this love, I’ll willingly bask. The sharing, caring, and daring. The glancing and trance like starring. The thought came to me, will it last? Nothing to compare in my past. I’m at my best when with this lass, this kind of love must be first class.

This is such a sweet and heartfelt piece! The rhyme flows so naturally, and that final line wraps it up perfectly. There's a genuine tenderness throughout—like a quiet celebration of newfound love. Beautifully done!

It was a great dream, made me see that that relationship was for real. 42 years later we are still together in real life now. We celebrate 43 years of marriage next April. Yeah! Thanks for the comments, my friend. Happy Sunday! in my half of the world! :-) Bill
