Finding My Knight

I live my days in hurt and pain Insecurities and despair In this hopeless chain That feels so unfair All I wanted was to feel loved Feel safe, cherished, secure Be held in your arms through my nightmares Until all the hurt becomes a blur Where is my silent knight? The one to save my life? That will slash my demons, Not my flesh? That will vanquish my enemies, Not my dreams? I ask for help with my eyes! I beg him but he doesn't reply This silent knight must come forth Help me before I lost my oath But my mirror keeps silent For my reflection doesn't reply It's inside of me that my knight resides It's up to me, to change my life... *** January 31, 2017

A poem of truth..for we all are alone with the fruits of wisdom gathered in our years..question is do we use it for nourishment or allow it to sit and decay

It is great that you have come to this realization in life, Claudia, because I don't believe many in life do! Another fine example of your poetic skills! (Sir Gawain was always my favourite Knight from the Arthur Pendragon's knights!)

Thank you Budgie... yeah, I know... usually we are forced to look up inside and find out a strenght we didn't know we had... (And I always loved stories about knights :) )
