Feeling the Blues

Today I woke up With a heavy heart A hopelessness feeling A dark cloud in my heart Sad thoughts, Self-doubts, A fake smile, An overthinking mind... It’s impossible to feel good all the time The blues gets to all of us, It’s just a matter of time… I put my feelings to paper, I opened my soul to the words To try to lighten my heart To try to lighten my soul I know that this heaviness inside Shall pass like everything else does My mind is my worst enemy And at these moments it is so loud that it hurts… It would be so easy To close myself off To shut off everyone To avoid all the pain To avoid all the hurt But I’m not known For choosing the easy route I’ll keep opening myself to people I’ll keep getting hurt I read something today, That I need to try to learn… “CHOOSE PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE YOU” …and let all the others go… October 09th, 2018
