Faerie Wedding
Whisper faerie snuck quiet gentle glances
Loving the gallant he-faerie she could barely see
Would his kin notice her? What were her chances?
She was as mesmerized, as if stung by love’s bumblebee.
Would he and she ever become a permanent “thee?”
As they watched the tiny ethereal couple, wee,
The innocent duo, exchanging sweet fey nods at tree,
Performing a magical waltz next to a baby chickadee,
They paraded around the oaks with smiling acorn chances,
Lifting and twirling their pixie dust at nature’s mushroom knee.
Finding each other at last, the faerie wedding began giddy prances.
As joyful a couple as the meadow could hope to ever again see.
