Facing the Sunrise

Facing the sunrise I stand here along this gravel path on a silent morning facing the sunrise Like a single blade of grass awaiting that which brings it life peacefully waving on a springtime breeze basking in the light A newly bloomed daisy longing the warmth on its face resting gently on an emerald stem smiling at a yawning horizon, An oak tree, old but majestic, branches reaching for a sky of pastel hues and morning dreams embracing the start of a new day Yet I am none of these, I am merely a man in love facing the sunrise, awaiting that which gives him life…you Good morning Soupers

Bonjour Chris, I love how you celebrate the breath and reach of nature in this wonderful piece where man humbly partakes of life's offerings in the sharing of his love:) Amitiés

Thanks again Anne Marie. There are times during the day when I can feel the essence of everything pure and sunrise is one of those times. I appreciate you my friend.

I can see that old oak tree with the sunrise in the background, a lovely vision Chris :) I don't see too many sunrises, mostly sunsets these days. (I get to sleep in if I want now and I do it often) Maybe I should write about that... hmmm, probably not :)

Oh go ahead, I'm sure it would be a beautiful afternoon poem. :) Fortunately or unfortunately I get to see both often and I find each day a new scene to enchant me. I don't think I will ever get "tired" of seeing the sun rise or set. :) Thanks so very much my friend.

Good morning my friend. You are none of the beautiful things you describe? Then what you are must be infinitely better :)

Good Morning Chris. This is beautiful and very poetic. You truly show your appreciation for life and of love in such a marvelous and elegant way. Yes, love has its place with passion. However, I will state to my last breath that love has a place for softness as well. We Soupers thank you. Have a wonderful morning. Marvelous in its entirety. PS: keep facing the sun.

There is just something about the sunrise that I find so enchanting but then again I feel the same way about the setting sun too. I must be a sun person. And don't get me started on the moon. :) Thanks so much my friend for your daily thoughts and the smiles they bring to my face.
