Example For Show Don't Tell, Tell Don't Show Contest

Two haiku's following 5 7 5 rule One showing and one telling. Topic of your choosing. NB calling these haiku is an example of poetic license - as with most poetry forms you can dive deeper into specific rules. That isn't the point with this contest - it's more about consideration of a poetic principle than precisely adhering to the form. A convoy of fire Brainwashed seeking heavens gate Until the flames purge Hell keeps them in line Figuratively speaking Literally too

Dilly, wow I've seen so many good entry's, you may have a hard time! I went to your blog, very entertaining. Hope you keep the contest. I love this idea of the contest. It makes sense to challenge the poets to see if they themselves can spot the difference in their own work. But cdaf&£#... AI and I are just getting in our stride ... Oh, well, I have to go and find a pencil :)
