Leaves change color every Autumn,
painting trees from top to bottom.
And as children whoop and holler;
every Autumn leaves change color.
As greens disappear, reds abound,
and orange hues litter the ground.
Preparing for Fall's grand premiere;
reds abound as greens disappear.
Crimson and gold, painting the trees,
ink leaves fluttering in the breeze.
Autumn's beauty never grows old,
painting the trees crimson and gold.
Etched on glass panes, crystals of ice
form feathered swirls, sharp and precise.
And on cold nights, Jack Frost maintains
crystals of ice etched on glass panes.
The trees stand bare, stripped of their leaves;
Autumn breezes morph into thieves.
And with naked limbs everywhere,
stripped of their leaves, the trees stand bare.
