I base this theory on research conducted over a 4 decades+ span... More and more the work of 'academia-nurtured' poets...those who disregard the sense of why their every word Not be 'unfamiliar'...thereby sparing countless fans from guessing at the meaning of a term that's rarely heard, Alienates a patron with some esoteric blunder - leaving them uncertain as to what is being said - Denying both the poet and the reader their objective, regardless if the bard recites the poem or be it read.

Hi Lin, I've had 3 experiences where adult listeners have asked to be enlightened as to the meaning of an unfamiliar word. Interesting 'everyday' language makes it work better for ME, but, each to their own...all the best, Mark
