Empty house each time I walk through the door Empty space where you once lay in our bed Empty nest now the children have gone Empty words from the man I once adored Empty life, empty heart … I’d be better off dead 07-27-17

no matter the pain it did cost....my dear friend, realize it was his loss....Blessed will be the hand....who finds such Beauty on the isle of man....because from your heart can only spring joy....at least that is the impression you left on this southern boy....once again you never cease to amaze my dear jan....;)

Jan, as someone who has been there, I'll offer these few words to you..."There is no one or anything under the sun that is worth the contemplation of your last line." You fill a void with your words...so you are not empty or alone with the feelings you have expressed so easily. Please keep allowing us to have you fill our voids. ((Hugs))

It's pure fiction for me Dan I was listening to a very sad Diana Ross song and this came to mind. I do know the devastation a broken relationship can have on a person:-( hugs jan xx

It sure can do Joseph, but I had a failed relationship and I immersed myself into charity work at a hospital radio station and it is there I met my hubby:-) hugs Jan xx

Wow, such a sad poem Jan but masterfully done! You have brought to me the feelings that come from a break-up and the heartache that follows! What a sincere and wondrous piece my friend! Great Work!!

Not my usual style of poetry as I prefer humour Russell but we were in the car and a sad song came on the radio and this was the result:-) hugs jan xx

I rather like my half empty house. My cat never curses, and she's always waiting to greet me. That empty life and empty heart feeling really does pass, and when it refills, it's with love for better things. Well done in expressing the feelings of many, Jan.

You are wise ... stick with the four legged friends Lin, they are generally more loyal, don't lie through their teeth and are genuinely happy when you walk through the door ... and YOU can kick them out when they make a mess lol:-) hugs Jan xx

Jan I have seen this happen like the photo of the saying you put above. True. Your poem has powerful impact to the reader. Well done :)
