John 11:25-26—"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (King James Version)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Through ancient scriptures, the story is told of a morning where hope was reborn. Easter’s message, in every heart is worn, a tale of love more precious than gold. Upon the path where ancient olives tread beneath the shadow of the sacred mount, the murmurs of the faithful hearts recount the tale of sacrifice, for us He bled. In gardens of new bloom where lilies rise, the dawn of Easter paints the sky with grace. A stone rolled back reveals an empty space, a world reborn through faith, in sunrise lies. In gentle light, the morning breaks anew Easter’s embrace, a testament so bright. The dance of sunbeams chasing away night. In resurrection, our faith finds its cue. Upon the sacred morning of Easter’s dawn, a world awakes to Light, so clear and pure. In resurrection, our faith becomes sure. A new chapter in our lives is drawn. On Easter’s morn, a path of light is shown guiding us through the darkness we face. In every ray, the warmth of His embrace, a journey towards the love we’ve always known. With steps upon the path where He once trod, Easter reminds us of the journey long. In every step, we find our hearts belong to the eternal love of our God.
Beautiful message, Sara, enwrapped in a quaint style of The Word's truths of the tender love of Grace for all throughout the ages of time. Truly yours is timeless and could not have been said and presented any finer than you have made it to be, my friend, well done, indeed my good and faithful servant--breathly hints. Aloha, William
- A beautiful poem about the message of Easter, Sara - I wonder if the message is familiar to the youngest today ... when "everything" is about Easter eggs with chocolate and school holidays - Best wishes in the contest ... a poem that will top the list of winners :) - hugs ?
thank you, Anne-Lisa, for your kind words. I, too, wonder if the 'message' is lost to the younger generation. All I see at the stores are bunnies, bunnies, and more bunnies. While they are adorable, the day isn't about bunnies. It's a day dedicated to the rich, spiritual wisdom symbolized with the resurrection. How many times in my life have I remembered that story when I needed to crucify my ego and resurrect my soul. Okay, rambling. I do appreciate your visit. Hugs, Sara
A very nice faith-based work. I enjoyed reading it today. It reads like a good contender for the contest to me, but I have not read the rules. Thanks for sharing it with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K
thank you, Sara K, for your comments after reading. I don't usually write this type of poem. I was reading a history of the events before the crucifixion up to the resurrection and wrote this poem based upon that short history. How many times in my life have I remembered that story when I needed to crucify my ego and resurrect my soul. Countless...I appreciate you and your visit. hugs, Sara
The poem brings the Easter message of hope and resurrection. Evevn for a non Christian like me, it brings me close to the cocept of reincarnation. Nice poem.
thanks for your visit, Jay. I grew up in a non-traditional home with the focus being on spirituality and not religion. Reincarnation is something I'm comfortable with. What I glean from the Easter message is this: How many times in my life have I remembered that story when I needed to crucify my ego and resurrect my soul. Countless...definitely rambling. Enjoy your evening, Sara
As I delved into your exceptional Easter poem, I greatly appreciated the extraordinary choice of words you utilized, effectively imbuing it with a sense of optimism and hope. The addition of extended metaphors and meticulous arrangement of the poem further enhanced its significance, allowing for a clearer understanding of the subject matter. (Soup Mail)
thanks dearest Sotto for your complimentary words. I'm grateful you noticed the extended metaphors and arrangement. I struggled a bit with the arrangement. Now that I look at the poem, it's more than just a rhyme poem. I need to correct that. Have a great evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara
