Easter 2018
EASTER 2018
For twenty years I celebrated Easter
In various parts of the world
In the footsteps of the Apostle Paul
In Turkey where he once walked
I celebrated Easter in Saigon
While serving in Vietnam
I celebrated Easter in Texas
Oklahoma, California, and New Jersey
On Waikiki Beach three years
And at Epworth by the Sea
I've been in some interesting places
Where The Resurrection was recognized
But this year 2018 was the most meaningful
I was at home on Georgia soil
At home where my roots are
Perhaps never to leave home again
I don't know where I'll celebrate in 2019
Maybe Christ will call me Home by then
And I'll celebrate it with Him
And every Easter thereafter in eternity
But 'til that day arrives for me
I'll just have to be content
To know that Easter 2018
Was the best Easter I ever spent
