Earth

Inspiration- Title 3, Earth - "Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts." Quote by _Rachel Carson since young I have loved the forest and woods there is such a comfort like a warm blanket wrapped I just breathe in all the scents and the sounds each little bird song drifting and mingling, mingling I love all the green hues that soothe my soul the brown earth has energy and strength to give me so, I lay down and the earth is talking not in words . . . but in emotions like a sad song I hang my golden hair in dappled sun like a woven spider web it billows and flows clouds in the blue sky sail like ocean ships I imagine floating on waves, drifting, drifting . . . I follow the sound of water flowing and come to a stream where ducks and swans are floating though life has been weather-stained I am strong this earth and all parts need my love and attention something has a hold on me and my soul I am filled with inspiration and thirst for life wanting to make an earthly difference oh, God the creator . . . guide me to a purpose the earth is endless with places in need pollution is destroying her perfect beauty oh, some things I have no control to stop but, I can help, I can volunteer, be involved. . .

Congratulations on your # 1 win and POTW, Constance La France! You have posted beautiful Mother Nature images before and I'd never seen anything like it, inspiring me to add images to my poems. " something has a hold on me and my soul I am filled with inspiration and thirst for life wanting to make an earthly difference" I feel the same way .xhugs

Dear Constance, your thoughts are beautiful, tender and filled with melancholy, all at the same time. Beauty and blessings still surround us, even though many are destroying the earth. You're right, some things we don't have control over, but we can get help in different ways. Congratulations my dear friend, on Poem of the Week. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

That’s so lovely Constance, there’s nothing like nature for soothing one’s soul. We need to look after the earth and keep it as beautiful as it was when it was created. Congratulations on receiving the honour of poem of the week… Beryl

It's sad to see pollution everywhere on land and in our oceans. But mother nature will fight back as we're seeing now. Mankind will pay the price one day. Congratulations to you Constance on the honour of POTW. Hope you're keeping well. Tom

Lovely poem to which I can so easily relate. I too have been a child of nature from the very beginning, taken away by the beauty of the earth and everything it holds. "I hang my golden hair in dappled sun like a woven spider web it billows and flows" Love these lines. All the Best dear Constance.
