Hi Sara, I like this poem. Your concise wording provides a strong image. Not sure why I am unable to see the picture you provided on this and other poems of yours. - Happy New Year, Gail

Hi Sara, It is a mystery. LOL. I can only see the following words: "Image result for pictures of a female writer up during a winter's night" However, I can see the beautiful picture of Sunflowers and a picture of a family in another poem of yours. - Have a good day, Gail

Gail, sometimes photos or other pictures from the internet will go away after a certain length of time because of copyright laws. But it is up there on my page today so I don't know why you could not see it. Thanks for the New Years greeting. Sara K

Oh wow, I love that picture, combined with your beautiful senryu, it's so eloquent and vivid, dear Sara.. Also, I can resonate with your lines "clicking of keyboard.. cold winter's night".. Ahh, it's really weird but many times some profound idea of poetry click late at night in my mind, sometimes I wake up from sleep suddenly and then poetry starts a marathon.. it's very crazy when muse gets inspired at odd times..well, a creative poem.. Sending you light and best wishes for the New Year :)

I am an early morning poet.. I struggle to write after 12pm... except for when Im a the gym, all these poetic lines run through my head... I try to note them down on my phone... The worst is in the shower or driving.. as i seem to get a lot of poetic thoughts then... nice senryu Sara..

Quite eye opening to think about all the places that you have time alone and the poem of the day comes to you. I guess you, SO, need to keep paper and pen handy at all times. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

It's fun to read the comments inspired by your poem. I think it is better to get up and get started when the idea is there. Otherwise it might get sent top oblivion.

Great job on your poem, Sara! I can imagine the sound of someone typing on a keyboard on a cold winter night from the way you described it so well.

A lovely scene that we can all identify with Sara, we don't feel the time pass when we get an idea in our heads. Happy New year to you. Tom

Tom, sometimes, all during the night my brain is chattering on and on. LOL.. Most of the time I should have gotten up and written it down because what I finally come up with is less impressive than the thoughts running through my head during the middle of the night. Sara K

I love the picture you’ve used here goes well with your Very descriptive senryu. I can hear the clicking of keyboard on a cold winters night through your well articulated lines. Pleasure always reading you. Sending you light always
