Each Poet Dreams
Each poet dreams of a secret retreat,
perhaps an ivory tower in which to go;
with refuge from the turmoil of life,
and isolated from the crazy world below.
Oh, just a solitary place in which to write,
and enclose oneself in bliss and peace;
maybe it is a castle beside the sea.
A place where waves crash on jagged rocks,
yet this place already exist within us;
each time a poet takes up their pen,
and on white writes a poem . . .
