I am dreaming of a long ago day with tears
two young girls are feeding ducks in a park
one of the girls is me
the other is my dead sister
I still hear the screaming
I see her slipping on snow
in slow motion the truck brakes and her blood spreading
and my mother screaming
the sky is summer blue with clouds white
we are at the beach two girls building sand castles
and then running and splashing in the water
then, on a picnic blanket eating
but the screaming, oh the screaming never stops
now, I am at her tomb weeping . . .
