Doom And Gloom

Priests of Doom and Gloom:
Fear, the seat of their feigned
power. We, meaning them, know
best: follow us and be saved
or risk eternal pain and suffering~
being forever graved! Yet some, as
I, choose the worship of one word,
Love! Avoiding Dogmatic Mercenaries,
Faux stand-ins, for the one, true,
God, all merciful, unlike the Above.

Hi John; just my opinion, but I think God hears us in or out of church. I do not belong to a church, have my own prayer service in my home Sunday's. And if you feel another way, what's wrong with that? What works for you is right. My opinion.

In Eph. 4:6 (KJV) it states, there is " One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Which ' emphasizes the unity and sovereignty of God, His active presence in the world, and His indwelling in believers. ' So wonderful, indeed. My heart rejoices in this truth. I just read an Old Testament verse that a decent wife rises while it is still dark and works gleefully all the day until darkness comes back, ha ha, although I do this, feminists do seem to have a point. I'm all for the love, Ty Joe and congratulations on your POTD! ~xhugs

Some votaries of religion create fear of doom and gloom. Love is the cardinal virtue to please God and man. We needn't go after 'dogmatic mercenaries'. We need practise love. Wisely said. Congratulations Joe on your POTD

As Christ said, paraphrasing: If anything, fear God, who could sentence one's soul to an eternity in hell...he did not say God would. The bible is inspired by God...and God did His best, I imagine, to help man hear his voice as well as we are able. When reading the bible, one has to also listen to subtleties of spirit -- the bible is a living word, speaking to each of us individually as well as a humanity. Both are correct.
