Christmas is now over This is the reason why We've had our small party Santa has departed Boy! did we eat hearty Christmas is over now We had our little fun It will not interfere Others can celebrate During busy time of year Christmas is now over We still have some birthdays January there's three We can celebrate them But not under the tree Christmas is now over Santa has gone back home Oh! He'll bring gifts to you Don't worry about it Just clean that chimney flue

A nice way to reflect on the coming month. January is my least favorite month I don't think I even have family members with birthdays then. Unless there is a nephew I don't know about!

A very happy celebration with children. It is something all of us look forward to. Beautifully written, Sara. My celebration is not yet over. Children are at home on vacation. So will be busy till 20th Jan... ! May not get much time to be on poetry soup. Wish you a Happy New Year

Oh!! Wonderful, enjoy the family, Valsa. Mine are not too far away from us, in fact, one lives up the road, but we don't see each other that often. They all have their own lives.
