Don'T Kiss Me

Don't kiss me I don't want to feel again Don't want me My heart won't beat again Those eyes they speak in playful tongues Those lips crave to be forever young That neck just waits so patiently That skin keeps on calling me The river flows strong after the rain But soon it will all be dried up again Hold true to your passionate ways And with the wind you'll find better days

The bitter sweet taste of love Tim. It is beautiful in its sadness. A 7+ Maria

This feels like a tug-of-war between want and denial. Perhaps it's best for the heart to decide without being distracted by the mind! // paul

Good Morning Tim. You have redefined an entry of love or should I say a faded love. Your title says it all with the emotive factor being present. Well done in its entirety. With hope this entry is your creative poetic talent. Have a wonderful morning.

That in between time of loss and moving on, this speaks to me of broken hearts on the mend. Hugs to you my friend <3

I note sad dying love, with continued desire - provoked, and hope for future days. One can relate to each verse differently. Quite nice Tim !

Tim I can relate to what you have written as I think many people can. You have found a way to turn painful expression into a positive ending. As you say - With the wind you'll find better days! Well done. Take care

There are so many mixed emotions in this wonderful poem Tim where it seems you are telling the heart to find its way out into a new stream that will flow true again:)

How we are been thrown left and right, like a pendulum.... I fully understand that poem, and I hope for better days my friend.

Iove the way the poet protects the heart...by shutting down...putting a barrier to emotions...Then I can see the invite for that heart to re-open..and the towards the end..I can see both the river flow..and the river dried....As such is life full of mixed emotions...and cboices to make..to taste the mud or feel the rain...Awesome post Tim.

Almost feels like three different poems. The opening stanza is something I can relate to, there can come a time when the heart just needs to heal on its own. The next stanza to me is the heart falling again for what it sees and feels and then the last is the heart reminding itself that it will all pass, one way or the other. Nicely done Tim.
