Don't Move

Don't move a muscle or dare shift your mind. We are balanced on the edge of a precipice and to reach out to one another could cause us to tip and send us all plunging downwards into tolerance.

Dear Paul, your poem is a powerful delicate balance we often find ourselves in, especially when navigating relationships and understanding. The imagery of being on the edge of a precipice speaks to the fragility of human connection and the consequences of rushing into actions without careful consideration. I loved how your words evoke a sense of caution, urging us to tread lightly and thoughtfully. This is a thought-provoking piece. Blessings, Daniel

Always a challenge to step outside the comfort of our own, ego shaped world and accept risk. Your comments display a deep understanding of human nature Daniel....thankyou for taking the time to put yr thoughts into words. Very much valued. Paul

Sometimes what we find after taking a tumble is worth the fall. I'd advocate shifting positions, moving the muscles and taking the risk of falling off that precipice. Hard landings create open minds to what we'd never expect, while soft landings don't allow new perspectives. Tolerance cannot be found... it must be learned through trial and error... perhaps? It makes life's mistakes easier to overcome.

A wonderful and profound serving of wisdom Lin....thankyou for reading the poem and sharing your thoughts. Thet are always full of content. Prompted further reflection and perhaps more meat for another poem. So kind dear Lin, take care.

A real thought provoker Paul! Tolerance, acceptability, getting along - we sacrifice something of ourselves to endure others and in turn be endured... Unless it's not like that at all. If I try and wrap my mind around it I just get back to square one and feel tolerated (though I'll intolerably ask if that's true). I play with the idea of what it would be to just unleash myself, but quickly realise I've no clue whether I'm even holding back. Just my thoughts in response to the poem...
