Dolphin Rocks

she had that sinking feeling in her lost mind once again drawn into a void of oblivious anticipation like a spiral with no end or beginning on free fall with nowhere to go voices in her head told her to strip naked and disappear the waves loomed large and rip tides showed her the way out of constant reminders that she had no purpose at all the beach was windswept and the sea opened up with promises of vanished hope spinning into daring control the suicide note bobbed up and down in the delirious surf a dolphin had other ideas and closed in from a distance threw her a pebble from the sea bed and gave her a smile when she threw the stone into the ocean it leapt a few times skimmed the surface and found a home deep under cover as it's image faded she knew it was not her time to vanish

How fortunate that the dolphins found her suicide note, Kai. My Aunt Eva was saved by dolphins from a shark attack. Creative approach to the theme. Congratulations on a second place in the contest! Best wishes, Carolyn

Bravo brave Dolphin, you saved a damsel in distress, in fact you saved her life, I adore dolphins. In Umhlanga KZN we can see a pod of hundreds of dolphins, what amazing mammals they are, and so intelligent. Whenever I see a Dolphin in a poem, it is a must to read. Great write Kai. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Thank you. To see dolphins is a privilege. I lived in Johannesburg until two years ago. Now that I am in Spain I received my SA residency, five years after a straightforward application. But my wife and I have decided to move on again, to Wales. Well, there are dragons there ...Kind wishes, Kai

Incredibly original. Loved the scene. Hope she'll get proper medical attention.

Thank you Sunshine Smile. Sometimes all it needs is a dolphin and a pebble ...
