Digging For Diamonds

I've been on here for hours since I joined up, reading all types of poems and responding to many souls. I've found stones and I've found diamonds in the rough. But if you're here reading this right now, then I can bet I've found a precious gem! Andrea Dietrich/ Dec. 31, 2009

This must be one of your favorite types of expressions. Apparently, an etheree consists of ten lines while a nonet has nine line.

I would change the last line to "then I can bet you have found a precious gem. Then you would have the perfect poem. You are a gem, always enjoy my visits. Mac

Excellent write that drew me in and held my attention. Went digging for rubies summer before last and panning for gold but in Arizona I can dig for diamonds so I am told. Maybe some spring I can go that way and carry a bucket and shovel and in the soil I will play. If I find a diamond in the ruff it will be and it will be my equal for in the ruff I will be. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara

In one of his songs John Denver sang, "Some days diamonds; some days coal." Here on the soup you will find gems of all kinds and many precious friends. Little "digging" required here, just the willingness to reach out as you have done so eloquently in this poem. Excellent etheree, Andrea! Best Wishes, Carolyn
