Dictionary Fun
Though you scorn my love
and look upon me
as a loathed abomination,
I can’t quell my passion for you
nor turn off my admiration.
Though it pains me deeply
and I’m hurt by your rejection
I struggle to conceal my yearning
and to stifle my affection.
I cherish our relationship
knowing I must dim the flame,
as I attempt to taste your tender lips
and you call another’s name.
I’m not trying to bamboozle,
nor to trick you nor cajole.
The bloom of our romance is gone
and I've lost my inner soul.
