"Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence."
Max Ehrmann, 1927

A desideratum of varied hues,
is the rendering of my bleeding pen;
and when under duress, well, I have Muse !
I have a God sent need to write- amen,
since a child I have felt this vital need;
and on this journey I have found my Zen !
This compulsion- I must obey and feed,
but the prerequisite is quiet time;
where I go deep, deep for feelings that bleed !
It is essential for my words to chime,
I write poems of nature, death and life;
with an obligation to the sublime !
My heart is broken from the stabbing knife,
that is this life journey and sad demand;
I find all my weeping pain, grief and strife !
Often, I find muse in a sweet dreamland,
wandering in the varied hues of green;
and we will create a poem quite grand !
Perhaps it will be a beautiful scene;
or perhaps will be darkness I have seen !
