Departed
i am lost
like a shadow
on a moonless night
you are gone
from sight
my mind
stirs like a summer breeze
twirling thoughts of you
like a gust through trees
as i long for relief
if only you could come back
even if momentarily
like this sun
between the clouds
my heart
beats fast
like quickened steps
on paved walks at night
fearing the unknown
in depths of darkness
my soul
reaches like a flower
ready to drink the rain
as it thirsts for you
before being pummeled
beneath the force of streams
from these never ending rains
in the reigns of death
and missing you
through my sorrow
I am found....
lost again somehow
