My Dad always used to say if you tell the truth you never have to remember but if you lie you have to remember your lies. I know people who will contradict themselves mid sentence and not even blink. Truth is in the eye of the beholder

My question is this, Jan: Would the world get anywhere without lieing? My take on modern weddings is from experience, except the part about the stretcher. Some exaggeration was necessary to give the poem humor. Thanks for the stop. / M

Whew, quite a comment on people who lie in any form whether it be a white or black lie, or plain old exaggeration. So many ways to lie and let it become habit. Nice write. I had to look up cinquain; what an interesting form of poetry. Well done, Jan.

Sadly its a way of life for this person Janice and they really wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face, but she is great inspiration for some of my poems, its a shame she never reads them lol then again she wouldn't notice they were about her lol:-) hugs jan xx
