December's Miracle

It’s Yule time as we watch the bouncing flames
outside, snow capped hills feel the fireplace glow.
Wonderful reflections of an ending year
bring ribbon wishes as bright memories flow.
Sleigh chimes ring with cheers of delightful peace
watching Grandma fill sweet aroma on crystal glass.
The smell of cinnamon signals Christmas Eve
As we gather hugs before midnight comes to pass.
Such excitement reminds us of all-time love
with shares of laughter and stories as a surprise.
Giggly kids round their fingers on the tree
And lights twinkle with warmth of sparkling eyes.
How beautiful the tinsel and angels blend in
reminding us of special thrill with friends and family.
What joy to celebrate this wonderful gift of life
While a manger dressed in garlands so perfectly
Carolers at the gate sing glorious tunes in God’s praise
More precious than all presents piled on the floor.
Christmas means giving without expecting anything
As prayers sigh for blessings, life, and much more!
