This Acrostic or that Acrostic contest by Miranda Hawley

D - Darkness cannot disguise your sight, A - as you shine like a guide at twilight. Y - Your glory glows among dawn's hues, S - stirring the soul of a poetic muse. T - Tender nature warms from your rays. A - Arriving like a blessing on rainy days. R - Rainbows reflect as a sign of your ways.

DAYSTAR seemed to be the most popular, and you did justice to the theme. There is a strong tie between rainbows and light and you emphasized it well. Lovely pic. Congrats, Silent One.

Wow, you have a great picture with your poem. I do like the fact that you made this an easy to read with rhyming words at the end of those lines. I love your line: "stirring the soul of a poetic muse." Great job and congratulations!

Hi S.O. I love a rhyming acrostic and you pulled it together so well. I'm awaiting eye surgery so I'm not seeing very good but I was able to enjoy a couple of your poems and post a couple of contest poems, myself (with my poor vision, I'm sure there are typos). What a way to open an amazing piece. Lovely image up there. Shows a new beginning and better things to come. You have describe the Daystar so well. It brings so much light and hope. Beauty to nature, mankind and art. The day is a bringer of peace and warmth. Great acrostic with beautiful rhymes. "Rainbows reflect as a sign of your ways." A beautiful hype to the day. Rainbows are the cutest. They signify alot and I couldn't think of a best way to describe the Daystar. Best wishes for the contest.

So beautiful, everything about this acrostic is soul warming and awe inspiring dear silent one! You have a way with captivating readers with your seamlessly flowing words! The picture goes so well with the acrostic! I love the opening line “ darkness cannot disguise your sight” what a philosophical thought! “ arriving like a blessing on a rainy day” when i read that, i hear a melody, beautiful one! And “rainbows reflect as a sign of your ways” wow! That ending! This is absolutely stunning and soulfully meaningful. Must i also highlight your rhymes? Impeccable! Best wishes! Inspired to try this
