Dawn
Faint stars begin to vanish when Dawn appears.
She comes to vanquish the dark night.
Slowly she comes creeping from beneath the horizon,
scattering reflections of sunrise yet to come.
At sea, the sailor can distinguish land as
Dawn prepares to let the sun be seen
in a sky the hue of ocean blue!
As Morning’s Twilight shyly shows herself,
clouds populate skies in apricot or saffron streaks.
Sun peeks over the horizon; Dawn is done!
