....Darkness Falls....

Do you really think, that I am going to trade my eternal soul,
for your bowl of germ infested puke? Think again!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
O' sullen sullies of darkness....
How you often paint yourself so very innocent and pretty
While you drool at the corners of the edges of jagged
Within your ever deceiving, and your taintedly twisted smile and corroding mouth
Galloping around as if you were some fortitude of light and wisdom?
Amid these pretentious comforts, cast, from within a hollowed and daggered heart
Just as long, as you can capture everyone else, within your chains of bindings
Bound, unto your own darkened perspectives, beneath, your clinching claw sharpened
grasp....
Eructing your molten lavas, spewed, of your gargoylish poisoned vomit
Upon the lives of those who are somewhat already blind, themselves?
Offering your beguiling and benumbing putrid stench, to alluringly, lure them in
Into the depths, of your own black widow webbed horror show....
While pounding upon your chest, as if you were the conqueror of them all?
As you leave your trails of excrement and slime, within the dust, of your ever slithering wake
These your offerings, before all of Heavens disbelieving and watchful eyes!
Unto the unknowing and eternal souls, which you try so desperately, to swallow whole!
But your indignities and godlessness, will not escape your forthcoming demise....
For your manglings, disfigured, shall lead unto your own wraths, pending doom....
And yet for now, you do still stand, unscathed, within your wantingly amissful ignorance
Projecting unto others, as if you were some sort of mighty tower, in which they, should
believe?
But knowing deep inside of yourself the truth, of how very  feeble and lost, you truly are!
Standing in front of this melting mirror, within your plotting poisoned mind....
A flower of the darkest soils, charcoals of crimsons ashes, your burning, and scorching flames
Lucifers child, of the neverendings, forever, and endless pain...."You!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

                                               ....Darkness Falls....
                                                  {The final kiss}

Wow John, this is a powerful write. It so fits my mood and feelings right now concerning my daughters "friend". The conviction in your words. The evil shall fall! Thank yu for your thoughtful comment. I am glad to be back on the site. I missed it. I hope you are well my friend. I picked this passage because they are words to live by (and words I need to hear right now) Romans 12:9-21 Love, Robin GBY

Just me again. I have four novels. The first is about reincarnation; the second is about 4 girls who sail from Maui to Japin, crossing the Devil's Triangle in the Pacific. The third is about my own experiences covering Hurricane Kate as a reporter, and the last one finds two American airline crash victims rediscovering the vestiges of Atlantis. I never submitted any for publication. I just enjoyed the characters' adventures and shared with my friends. Love, Carolyn

John, I'm so glad I read this poem today. A friend whose spouse had committed crimes and perpetrated much mayhem is now divorced. I thought of Randy when I read this poem, especially "indignities and godlessness, will not escape your forthcoming demise." Very POWERFUL writing throughout! Now Randy can pursue criminal charges as the police try to find Ali. I'll tell you about the novels in my next text. I don't know how to use soupmail and I'm running out of space. Carolyn

Oh my...I'd surely be terrified if I were that 'you'. This piece feels like a dark smothering cloak, not one that any would wish to wear. There is much anger here, fringed by hate, (perhaps not for the person, but certainly for the situation or circumstances?) You are an enigma, John Rhinem. "Darkness Falls" feels ominous and most frightening. Well penned; dark symbolisms, grotesque imagery..a hopelessly dire picture. I hope you're well, John! Wish the best to you and yours.God bless..luv, Mikki

Hi John, I can feel some sort of disappointment you maybe going through. This is just above me:) A pure paradise, I say. Great choice of words and the presence of God and holy spirit was there everywhere. Everytime I read it, it gives me more. Evil is certainly like that, but with him the key point is that- never fear the evil, its him who should fear you, coz God dwells inside you and God can so blindly kill that little evil. Something is bothering you? Oh, cheer up John. Your last writes too

this is a good write, the enemy is full of darkness, we are truly blessed to be in the light, thanks for your feed back on the lord is my sheperd, my kids so argue with each other just like any siblins but with God it helps them to try hard not to hurt each other by saying names to each other, they are growing strong in faith bur we all have our off days but when we get down it's great that the lord is there to pick us back up and to keep guiding us, the faithful shepherd, God bless you.

This is so dark and twisted and painful at times to read. I loved the line "standing in front of the melting mirror, within your own mind" very powerful John,,,,Laurie

John this is so powerful. Who ever this is they need lot's of prayer and correction. You are so gifted in knowing your words are from your heart and your God (JESUS) given truth's. Sounds like you're pretty peeved with the likes of this one. Pretty straight forward with some matter-a-fact phrasing. I like it!
