Dark Shadows
Dark shadows in the corners of her mind
places she hides things
evil things.
They try to find them
but they’re far too dim
to pierce the deep darkness
even with their
fancy
smanshy tricks
and pills
oh, the pills.
She'll release a tidbit
now and then
from the edge of the darkness
when she and them are bored.
Just for fun.
See them squirm.
The early stuff;
rabbits
mice
the neighbor's cat.
The dark, the midnight stuff
from the deep shadows;
she lets that out
only when it's safe,
when they're not there;
when it's
pleasurable!
