Dappled Things
Oh, thank you God for dappled things,
and forests deep emerald green;
and birds with lovely feather wings-
Such beautiful scenes I have seen.
Like forests deep emerald green-
with sweet peace beside a still stream;
such beautiful views- I have seen,
and dwell in the hush to daydream.
There is peace, beside a still stream,
Where I love gathering wild flowers;
and dwell in the quiet to daydream,
I even like the cool spring showers.
I love to gather wild flowers,
and birds with wonderful feather wings;
I even like wet spring showers,
Oh, thank you God for dappled things.
