Danger Jelly

Both bloodless and spineless is he - this danger that thrives in the sea. If he’s placed somewhere dry, he most surely will die. What hazard from him could there be? Well, this blob, on the beach, with no brain, can deliver but does not feel pain! Even dead he can bring you a terrible sting. And to pick him up, you’d be insane! For Susan Mill's "Jellyfish at the Beach" Contest

Congratulations on your win Andie. Yes, once you have been stung by a Jelly Fish you would never go in the water again if they announce they are present. It is a very painful sting that leaves welts all over. Meat Tenderizer works best to calm the pain.

You;ve hit it. My wife calls me a jellyfish. I didn't know what it was, but your poem has enlightened me. Clever and didactic write, dear Andrea. Love, Dave

Those floating balls or those blob on the beach are very painful...I got stung a few years back and it was no fun..When I thought that I was over it, I shaved my legs and it released venom again and I ended up in the emergency room...I do not care to experience that one again..Very descriptive of this animal..Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work..Sara

LOL Guess if we all had no brains, we wouldn't feel any pain! Very funny double limerick in good form. I won't be picking up any jellyfish, Andrea. Had my fill of "spineless" creatures, especially ones that sting! Love, Carolyn
