Dancing In Brazil

~Dancing in BraziL~ Querido…………… I had a dream, I was dancing with you,in Brazil’s night air Better yet, under colored lights,at a tropical fair. As in all my dreams, you are forever there. In that elegant night, jasmined, silhouette, so rare. Man of my lifetime, shine on me, your sensuous stare. We, Orpheus and Eurydice, the notorious Greek romantic pair. Samba stars, for we are heady tropical Brazilian fare… Your head on my shoulder, at rest in my auburn, shiny hair! 10/6/2022 Note~ Querido is ‘dear’ in Portuguese.

I have a passion for Brazil and have several poems on it…Alas, like us, they have a corrupt leader…see Gershon’s comment. Forbes.com…a great piece on China and Brazil. Did not know till Joe De Mino commented. Marci, Pangie

Monorhyme, is a form I like! I am not form-crazed)) The content and depth mean more. I will never be an acrobat of a poet trying all forms listed! I am too dense to do that..but applaud all who do! I have zero desire to outdo anyone here. I am not a RoadRunner Poet. I am just me! A poet friend in zany California Pangie Pangie thanks you.

Lovely, lovely, Pangie... And even I will be dancing in Brazil if Bolsonaro can defy the odds and beat the corrupt de Silva in the run-off election. If not, South America will just be, totally, a colony of Russia and China... ~ Sure hopin'

Oh, wow! Sorry I missed your comment till today, GW! Apologies. You are such a wise man! It feels like the entire world is caving in to a wholesale loss of freedom. And both press, new movies, reflect it..! As I mentioned to others, people simply do not know the history of the world. When you can’t call a boy or man a he? A woman, or girl can’t be called a she? That’s plain NUTZ! Far Lefties, like The Gang of Five’ in DC, should go to unfree countries. Hope and pray, things change. Indeed! Pangie

Not for long if China has their way, buying up Brazil left and right. A delightful dream, something to cherish with a loved one: "Your head on my shoulder, at rest in my auburn, shiny hair!" Very nicely said.

The Chinese, the China Virus, new bad guys on the block! And president Brandon, can’t say often enough how he loves Prez XI of China. Same country that has non Americans actually vote to get Brandon elected. Yup, old bicycle Brandon, who yells and whispers like a fool to us. Brazil is doing AG with China and other fool-Shenanigans to ruin the USA. Do voters know that? FORBES.COM has an excellent piece on Brazil and China…Avoid all Fake News Sources, Prince! LOL. They will get theirs! So, Prince..this was a romantic poem. I hear enough grief about the insanity here. I will vote and pray for an honest election. And a sane future for us. P,ease do the same. In appreciation, Pangie

Brazil during Carnival provides images of vivid color, music, dancing and fanfare. This poem is a tribute to Brazil and so well done.

Perhaps I was Portuguese, in a past life. Though I do not believe in that in reality. Just in fantasy-land! I have written about Brazil, before. Bossa Nova Crazy, Pangie
