Pantoum
A poem with a verse form consisting of three or more stanzas. It has a set pattern within the poem of repetitive lines. The pattern in each stanza is where the second and fourth line of each verse is repeated as the first and third of the next. The pattern changes though for the last stanza to the first and third line are the second and fourth of the stanza above (penultimate). The last line is a repeat of the first line of the poem and the third line of the first is the second of the last. No rhyme required.

I'm babysitting my granddaughter watching her play with her teddy bears. And I get a sense of de'jà vu, she reminds me so of her mother. Watching her play with her teddy bears I feel a connection to my past. She reminds me so of her mother, back when she was daddy's little girl. I feel a connection to my past a time of love, innocence, and trust. Back when she was daddy's little girl I couldn't be any happier. A time of love, innocence, and trust, and I get a sense of de'jà vu. I couldn't be any happier, I'm babysitting my granddaughter. (Pantoum) 06/19/2020
