Crying In the Rain
He was my lad, and I was his
most loving lassie.
In error, dreamt I, this would
forever last.
But we both had individual dreams
to fulfill and so it came ~to pass,
Under a raindrop-pelted umbrella
that final kiss we shared.
The gray skies wept as hard as I!
Watching him in his trench coat
after bidding me goodbye~
I watched his figure till he was
swallowed by the crowds.
We both still had a future?
A secret, God hid from me,in
His merciful clouds!
