Cormorant diving deep on feathers saturated so still your wings spread your need to dry enough to fly as I from deep emotion full saturated so long this need to cry myself dry before I too may be light enough to fly

I have only read a few of your poems, they are cryptic but rich in innuendo and subtlety, leading the reader down a path in which he/she can roam on their own. Interesting, looking for more, time permitting. John

We are definitely weighted down. The down of birds is a layer of fine feathers found under the tougher exterior feathers.

Well said. The cormorant's feathers aren't oiled, which allows it to dive deeper... perhaps my next poem ;)
