* A collaboration with the wonderful poetess Subhadra Naryann. Please check out her heartfelt poems here on PS. In transcendental dreams a lover's voice seduces from beyond a distant star. Enchanted by her song I face this choice- to ply the void or worship from afar. In visions of the night she sways in dance, her eyes aflame with passion and desire. She beckons me to join in sweet romance, her plea the flame that sets my heart afire. I’ve searched this world in vain to find a muse whose sweet telepathies would never die. The daughters of this world my heart bemuse with tangled webs of trickery and lies. To find her is my one and only care, I'll need a trans warp ship to take me there (Response) Sweet one reposing in transient dreams, in scintillating rhapsodies you drift. Your fervent gaze lingers upon my schemes. This siren's songs in euphoria lift. Spanning cosmos across midnight blue lace, I dance midst plumes of crystal clouds to tempt. Will we then for eternity embrace, or live in dread we failed this vain attempt? My wanton plea takes flight in wings so light. These heartfelt musings do stir the winds cold. Star-crossed symphonies play into the night watching wishful as mysteries unfold. Come seek me in these vivid tomorrows. In sparkling rainbows bury your sorrows.

Such a wonderful collaboration dear, Tom. Your poem is truly exquisite, filled with stunning visuals that dance in the play of light and darkness. The metaphors are like delicate stars, carefully chosen descriptions and introspective diction intricately woven into every line. It left me completely mesmerized, as I could feel the deep cosmic thoughts that flowed through the verses in a harmonious rhythm.

So many thoughts here - your meter is perfect per usual and, like you, I have a special appreciation for consistent multisyllabic words to form those thoughts. You have many brilliant ones! Subhadra has one that's timeless "In scintillating rhapsodies you drift" WOW- though she struggles with meter on other lines she does have a sneaky volta there where I'm not sure you do. This is an excellent collab and inspirational writing!

Fantastic collaboration you two! Tom, you are a romantic guy ;) I’ll check out Sabhadra’s poems in a bit. It was a busy UN week in NYC, but it’s done now, and weekend is going great even with the rain all weekend. Lol. And somehow I can’t reply to any of the comments on my poem. I believe the first part is you and second subha? I remember reading this collab before i think, altho my memory is so bad. I really love the title and the way this flows and rhymes are on point, brilliant diction! Star crossed symphonies play into the night! Ah! love in the cosmos eh? i'm partial to a bit of romance, as long as it's not too cheesy, and this is..different, but different's good..i like the otherworldly vibe, since i've never really felt at home in this world..you two write very well together

tom, disciplined anything's not really my schtick lol actually i do like a good sonnet, especially contemporary, and i do sometimes write in more disciplined forms, tanka etc..so you're a romantic at heart? well well..do you read the romantics?
