Confused

She asks him if her butt looks Big In last years summer dress My dear you look Hot in that It accentuates I must confess And are these streaks too brassy On my mousey shade of brown My dear you pull it off with style You wear it like a crown She points to her crows feet Are they getting worse each day It lends character to your features And that's my final say Then she goes for closure Will you love me till I die I'll love you to the moon and back He whispers with a sigh So ladies the next time you declare In a voice so strong That you are ALWAYS RIGHT And He is ALWAYS WRONG And if your man agrees with you IS HE RIGHT OR WRONG???

Maria: BRAVO ! After 57 yrs of marriage, I've still not learned what this fellow knew. And your ending was "excellent". Thanks for sharing this insight into "peaceful" living. Thanks for sharing it with all of us on the soup. oldbuck

When there is noting more to say why cloud it with fluff, as per the old adage “less is more”. Good little ditty with a whimsical feel good beat. Emile.

Thanks Emile, only just catching up on my replies, work, and the inclusion of the two poems composed while away, after returning from a beautiful holiday in Hawaii - Hope you like them.

This poem is lovely and witty, Maria:) I can safely say that any man in love with a woman loves her for who she is, and he would not be looking for imperfections!! Regards // paul

Lol. Paul I'm not that vain, but I have in contact with this situation with some young women I know and its quite funny to see certain young men being placed in this predicament and coming out with the 'corniest replies', to please their partners. But as I suggest if all else fails there's always chocolate and dinner?

Good Morning Maria. Welcome to PoetrySoup by the way. I just joined also about two weeks before you it seems. I hope you are enjoying it here. I know I am. As for your entry Maria. I found it endearing on both sides hers and his. Your words prove to me there is love. And yes there is love in compromise and in peace. With love there is no wrong. Nice work on the title also. Well done throughout.

Lovely Maria, and at the same time it makes me smile. I am a little bit like that, vain and stylish, and always asking my boyfriend things like this, thinking I am always right, hahaha.

Thanks for the comment Darren. You are perfect and I'm sure do not need validation, neither do I as I have a wonderful husband who compliments me all the time. This was written for a young friend, whose husband seems to find himself in a ticklish situation if he answers wrongly, lol. Darren I will be thinkIng of you on Monday, be strong and be the Knight that we all know you to be . Blessings.

What a delightful poem dear, Maria! When a man is with a woman he admits that that woman is the one he wishes to be with which leads to the conclusion that she is the best woman for him thus everything that is hers is perfect so he sees her as a work of art to be admired and wishes to change nothing. That is my opinion after living that long and having traveled around the world. Excellent my friend.

Demetrius ,thanks for the visit my dear friend. I wrote this poem with a young friend in mind who seems to enjoy putting her husband in a difficult situation, LOL. You on the other hand, like my husband ever the diplomatic type would be the complimentary type of men who are so rare to find nowadays. Blessed are we the wives, who have found men like you.

Thanks for the visit Eileen. For the record, this was written for a certain young lady I know, whose husband seems to find himself in a ticklish situation if he answers wrongly, so with a little help he has learned to become more diplomatic haha.
