I sit here with the company of my reindeer
Trying to think of how to bring holiday cheer
But mainly I ponder, the hate all around
No gift can change this in the silence of sound
I am known to bring happiness and joy
I am a symbol of giving children a toy
But, how do I make the difference in need
Of attention, in this world filled with greed?
I sit here in peace that I hope people will find
Before I take my ride to leave things behind
But, my hope is that all will change next year
When I return for my visit with my reindeer
So, I sit on this bench making wishes now
Hoping the gift of love will spread somehow
