In falling snows, I find no woes except the tingling in my toes. Winter winds create a chill leaving frost upon the hill. Barren are the limbs of trees, after the season's first freeze. In falling snows, I find no woes except the tingling in my toes. For Mark Toney's Flash Poetry Challenge

Thank you for supporting my Flash Poetry Challenge, Lin. Your poem was randomly chosen to feature in my 'Results' blog, which is now up and running. Your warm support contrasts nicely with your bone-chilling Octelle, which brings back happy memories of my growing up in Wisconsin. Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you, Crystol. I've been writing as though I'm knee deep in snow and I haven't been around it in years.

DearLin, ohhhhh how you beautifully captured the serene beauty of falling snow and its transformative power. I love how you convey a sense of peace amidst the chill, turning winter's harshness into a canvas for reflection. Your imagery of frost and barren trees evokes deep emotions. Lin, what a lovely piece; it truly warms the heart! Autumn, Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Reminds me of the winters of Buffalo lake affect snow arriving 90 miles away to Rochester. One year we had close to five feet of snow. It was first beautiful to watch and than it became a nightmare. As people were stranded in their vehicles and Power was out. Snow mobiles were out in a state of Emergency. The tingling toes I can relate to while snow blowing for hours and climbing the roof to shovel the snow off the roof and helping my elderly neighbor do the same. We are getting ready for...

Thank you for your thoughts, Michael. Snow is beautiful but there is a limit to that beauty before it becomes dangerous. I still miss the first snow of winter when I lived in Colorado, but I gladly give it up for moderate temperatures in New Orleans.
