Children Stop

Children quit fighting The nation is on fire with sad already It’s your job to fix it. Children quit learning There’s no time for nonsense like that When standardized tests are in vogue Children quit talking Take your I-pad and leave us alone We need me time; we are the parents Children stop watching. This is adult crap That we want to see, instead of you. Children stop crying. It’s annoying. Please wear these hooker clothes. It’s time; now that you’re two. Children stop watching It might make you way too sad Knowing how close to God you are.

Prophetic wisdom! A must-read for all "adults" in this country of ours. Bravo! :) gw

Thank you; I believe it may be my most profoundly smart poem yet.

Yes, children learn what they live, and live what they learn, it's all a circle -

That sounds lovely but I'm not in the Midwest - however, if I ever get to Kansas City I'll look you up!

Absolutely Michelle; Absolutely. If you are still in Iowa I shall stop by and have lunch with you sometime. I'm in Kansas City.

A dark write that stirs thoughts about our society. Well done, Caren.

Thank you Line. I see things, and I want to SHOUT the anger I have for it from the roof top, but alas, no one at school will lgive me access to the roof.
