From a cat's perspective ... I got a little cat brain And it’s driving dogs insane They say dogs are smarter That they try a little harder But I really don’t know Though I think it’s all for show Dogs aren’t man’s best friend When the cat fun never ends! From a dog's perspective … I’ve got a big dog brain And it’s driving cats insane Cats know dogs are smarter Dogs work a whole lot harder Cat’s are fun? No way! I too have had 3 cats and one large dog at the same time. The four cuddled together all the time. My dog is 15, will be the last dog for me. Kitty, 15 years old died, few months ago, my poem about, Miss Kitty placed 4th. I now have a huge Main Coon cat. I don't think I could enjoy life with out God's fur babies. Good job, Mark

Thanks, Andrea! We had dogs for over 20 years. Now that we’re older we have cats. Love ‘em both! :)

Dear Mark, your poem is a delight! Since I have both a cat and a dog (14 years and 9 years old respectively) I would say they are happiest when they are outsmarting each other for my attention. The battle of wits never ends, though the cat holds a slight edge on bullying the boxer lol! As much as they tease each other, when my 11 lb cat ‘head-bumps’ my dog’s chest, my 85 lb dog looks down and licks the top of his head. Wonderful poetry. Warmest wishes, my friend .. ~Susan

I love them both, but I think I prefer a dog on a high-energy day and a cat on a low-energy day. Enjoyed your imaginative pawsonification poem!

I prefer the dog's perspective here. No doubt, dogs are so faithful and man's best friends. Of course both cats and dogs are equally lovable as pets. It is in a way so cute to see cats huddled round and sleeping most of the time. Well written , Mark

Love 'em both! Dogs have 5 reasons why they are smarter. Cats have 11 reasons why they are smarter...sweet couplet Mark!
