Thanks, Andrea. Hard to believe it's been 13.5 years. Unfortunately, angels do get called back to heaven... way before we are ready to let them go.

Subject for another senryu no doubt... but his only words afterwards were in fact "Tell my family I love them"... then a few barely audible answers to the paramedics. The minute they stood him up to get him on the stretcher, he passed out.

I'm so sorry Line, but I find it helps to share and talk or write about it. Losing a close friend or relative is really sad. We have all gone through the same sadness no doubt, but that doesn't make it any easier for you. One of my sons friend's mother was strangled to death and all for a TV that was stolen! Thoughts and prayers with you. Jennifer.

So hard to deal with senseless tragedies. You are so right that we have to find ways of processing so we don't go insane.

This refers to an older event as traumatising as it was... our best friend was at our place enjoying a Friday night until those very sobering words... the ambulance took him away and told us to expect the worst and sure enough the hospital barely kept him alive until his family flew in and our dear friend died of a brain anurism. It was heartbreaking.
