B ountiful crop in the garden patch
U topia for the plants grown there
T umultuous storms' raindrops catch
T rickling down each leaf and pod with flair
E very farmer waits without a match
R everently thanking God in prayer
B less this food, these lima beans
E njoying the protein beyond compare
A lthough they're still a beautiful green
N othing's much finer as a side dish to share
P lease pass the bowl around the table
A ll who desire seconds take a spoon
T hose who aren't hungry or unable
C onstantly with stomach gas or swoon
