'Pick-A-Title, Vol 37 - '

The brooding nimbus in my sky will not depart. A sunny day I long to see, so why oh why- I ask- will it not go away. Why do I look and always see the brooding nimbus in my sky? Compassion? It has none for me. I pray for it to pass me by. I long for rain, but all is dry. Oh, must I wither in my pain? The brooding nimbus in my sky will not release one drop of rain. At times, God sends a ray of light to keep me hopeful, so I try to smile and thank the Lord despite the brooding nimbus in my sky.

There are places who have certainly seen this "brooding nimbus" this year; clever penning.

Even brooding nimbus have some tears as rain. Nice work on dark side of dark clouds.

Your poem gives the contest theme voice and form, Andrea. I always like the tenor of a Quatern--the kind you write.

We are having nimbus clouds in our sky. They are not brooding , but bursting down as torrential downpour. We are tired of rain. How the weather is different at two sides of the globe! All the Best Andrea....

A fine entry for the contest, Andrea. I don't like it when that ol' brooding nimbus doesn't listen to you. Bad bad clould! :-) Good luck in the contest my friend. Bill

nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” Luke 17:21 NIV Love your poem reminds me of Jeremiah chp.20. Only advice for one is to forget what this world teaches and seek the spirit which raised Christ, it's getting past the blindness and deception the world creates and loves ,

A Maltese proverb dear Andrea. Sun and rain will come when God wills. However rain will come soon I hope. You need it for your lovely blooms. Hugs
