AUTUMN ROSE

Such a precious rose. A pale, fragile, perfect pink. I caress it now. Gently against my cool cheek. Like lips that brush make me blush.

This is lovely Jean! I am sorry to see this did not make the short ten winner's list. Mine didn't make it either. I am reading so many great entries that did not make her list...I bet she had the most difficult time choosing. I can tell you love roses. : )

Thank you Sharon. We Irish have a song with the line "lips like eiderdown". When I look at these particular bulbous roses in my garden, I am reminded of the softness of both.
