Breathing silent hope through pain and its fears Reaching past the sorrow to face the night Learning to let go of hurt that haunts years Lifting up one who’s down so they can fight Life’s struggles sometimes overwhelm the plight Show the world that hopes can be dashed by tears Remind hearts that worries will dim the light Breathing silent hope through pain and its fears Loss soon will question the storm as it clears Welcoming sunny skies that are so bright Erasing the gray cloud who soon appears Reaching past the sorrow to face the night Dismal grief traps the soul who is in flight Bringing despair as the dream disappears Leaving sorrows that seem so filled with spite Learning to let go of hurt that haunts years Laughter becomes silent among these peers Relief from troubles is full of insight Yet no one can seem to ease hurt with cheers Lifting up one who’s down so they can fight Yearnings for comfort come out as I write The pain rains down like they are real pairs To shadow spirits with dread full of fright When will I find the grace of God who cares Breathing silent hope through pain….
