Break Your Peace

Your breathing is even and bears no concern, no fear or resentment squeaks to rust your dreams' churn. All my wishes wish it would: I want it to rob you, break your peace to pieces, rough up all your pleases and scatter your calm.
4 line excerpt from poem: A Day Scar Drama written 3-18-17 May 29, 2019 Arbitrium Divisa Poetry Contest Gregory R. Barden

very clever one taken from your longer poem. I think it stands very well on its own and I find it very creative, especially the way you worded the last two lines.

You gave the poem it came from a Wow and a 7 which encouraged me to take these lines from that write. I never know if you'll read my replies or not so I always feel a bit as if I'm talking to myself! Loving you ... CayCay

Jenny - I think you'd love the poem it came from, "A Day Scar Drama", it is one of my most dramatic fictional writes. You are very sweet to me, you give me matter and meaning. Thank you, Sweetie ... CayCay

The poem I took it from is very heated (wife sees husband with another woman) so I had quite a few 4 angry lines to pick from. Thanks for the visit, Kim. All the best ... CayCay
